Original Halo: Combat Evolved gets a surprise release for PC

Get ready to play Halo: Combat Evolved in 4K and 60fps now on PC

Halo: Combat Evolved

The original Halo campaign is now on PC. Microsoft brings Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary to PC with a remaster, letting you play it in 4K and 60fps. Not only this, but the multiplayer functionality is also present, as well as certain features such as customizations etc. The game is arriving 18 years after its original launch on the oldie but goldie original Xbox.

As was announced back in 2019 by us, the whole Halo: The Master Chief Collection is set to come on PC (scroll down). The latest was Halo: Reach, which came out in December, and now we get this. Further games are ofcourse bound to come and will be released in a chronological order. A good news for Xbox Game Pass for PC members is that the game is part of their library now, and you can download it anytime you like.

You can purchase all six games in Halo: The Master Chief Collection in the form of a bundle on Steam or the Microsoft store for PC. Halo: Reach and Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary is also available to be purchased seperately, both costing $9.99. Ofcourse I’d recommend just subscribing to the Xbox Game Pass service as it has great value for money.
