Sony State of Play: 5 big announcements to hype you up

Here’s everything summed up about State of Play, in case you aren’t the conference type

State of Play

Sony’s Playstation State of Play conference, held yesterday, had some major announcements. Ofcourse you’re here because you either missed the conference or had no idea what’s going on. In short, it unveiled a release date for the game Wattam, as well as introduced the campaign mode for Call of Duty: Modern Warefare. In addition to that it also announced a demo for MediEvil Remake, and as expected and desired by many, showed the trailer for The Last of Us Part II. Oh it also gave the release date for it. All of these are for Sony’s Playstation. There was no Playstation 5 discussion, however.

Biggest announcements from Sony Playstation State of Play:

The Last of Us Part II – Releases Februare 21st, 2020

We’ve all been waiting for this. Following the events of The Last of Us, Part II will be coming out in February 2020. That’s quite a time from now, but given how gorgeous the game looks and how emotionally tolling it will probably be we all can use that time to prepare. And ofcourse the more hyped we are the more satisfying it’ll be to play the next game. It’s like being really hungry and having your favorite burger for lunch, the feeling is just unexplainable.

MediEvil Short-Lived Demo

If you’re a Playstation veteran, you’ll know this game from the PS1 days. While Sony is working on the remake of MediEvil for the PS4, you can have a go at the free demo released for it yesterday. You can download it right now on the PS Store.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Campaign mode

This game here has been quite the talk these days, but there was nothing about the campaign. That changes now though, as a campaign trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is now out. Although people aren’t really happy, and infact are cancelling their pre-orders. Why you might ask? It’s because part of the game, the Spec-ops part, is locked off for Xbox one and PC gamers for an year. Being exclusive to the PS4 only, this has enraged many players who play on platforms other than the Playstation.

Wattam will be coming this December

Wattam is the latest game coming from the creator of Katamari Damacy which will get released in December 2019. No you aren’t on drugs it’s just the trailer. The weird but colorful game is similar to the previous game. And similar to Death Stranding, you can’t figure out what the game is about by the trailer. It does have some rather cute characters though.

Civilization VI for the Playstation 4

Civilization VI came out for the PC in 2016 and is an award winning best strategy game. 3 years later and now you can nuke the countries you don’t like from the comfort of your couch. The game hit Nintendo Switch last year, and will be coming out on the PS4 as well as Xbox One on November 22nd. So if you are someone who played some older game from the Civ series on an old PC, you can now enjoy the modern game on your Playstation.
