The curious fans of PlayStation 5 will get a glimpse on how the future console will perform, or will they?
Upcoming game, Dying Light 2, will be a big release. Not only will it be available on PS4 and Xbox One, but also the next-generation consoles PlayStation 5 and Xbox Scarlett.
The game has been confirmed a cross-generation game by a Techland representative. In an interview with WCCFTech, the spokeperson told them that they had planned since the beginning of production to make Dying Light 2 a cross-gen game, which will perform on the upcoming consoles as well. Afterall, Dying Light 2 is one of the launch titles for the PlayStation 5.
Dying Light 2 was announced to release in 2020, but the studio developing the game have planned to show-off the new game in August. Ofcourse every studio has to show the gameplay off, or else they would fail to build-up a hype. Although most studios end up making downgrades to the games they have showed off. An example of this is Rainbow Six Siege, but hey let’s hope for the best from the future generation of games.
However, the gameplay demo that will take place on August 26th in UK won’t be featuring a gameplay from the PlayStation 5. It’s highly unlikely they have the new console ready to perform right now in public. While this may be true, the gameplay might take place on a high-end PC. That means that you could imagine just a little bit about how the future console can perform, as it’s performance might be on par with the gaming PC they’ll be using.
In any case, the gameplay showcase is just a way to get the fans hyped as well as raise (or lower) their expectations regarding the upcoming game and the next generation of consoles. Not much should be expected as there are always bugs and major points of improvements when games are showed off ahead of release. There’s still almost a year till Dying Light 2 is released, and any gameplay you see in the stream might end up being different when the game comes out.

There will be more games in the near future for the next-generation of consoles. Ofcourse many of the current generation games will become cross-generation and many a studios will get the opportunity to remaster their games, making profits for days. Another game in development, which we could see for the PlayStation 5 is an upcoming Saints Row game. Although we don’t know anything much about it, it’s safe to assume it will be available as a whole game for the new consoles.
The PlayStation 5 is assumed to release in the holiday season next year 2020, as all the previous consoles, along with Dying Light 2 next-gen edition as it is the launch title for the PlayStation 5.
