Moonlighter and This war of mine epic store

Free Games: For Honor and Alan Wake free on Epic store

After a great previous week, Epic store brings forth two more big titles for the price of nothing!

For Honor and Alan Wake

Last week, Moonlighter and This War of Mine went free on the Epic store. And now the month of August starts with a bang as Alan Wake and For Honor are now up for the grabs on the Epic store.

Epic had announced last week as to why they have given out two games for free instead of one. Last week, This War of Mine was free, which is an M rated game. Since not everyone is able to play an M rated game, Epic wants to make sure everyone gets to play atleast one game. Thus Epic decided they’ll be giving out two games, where one is M rated the other will be E or T rated. Afterall, the younglings are the ones who really want to experience gaming, and really should!

For Honor

A multiplayer hack and slash game developed by Ubisoft. Featuring medieval weaponry and history, For Honor allows players to select factions such as Vikings, Samurais, Knights or WuLin. There is a campaign mode for the solo gamers, but For Honor is best played with friends online. Regardless of the age of the game, For Honor is still being constantly updated. Although, like many games, For Honor has lost a good amount of fanbase due to game balancing issues and people’s demands not being met.

Alan Wake

Alan Wake is an oldie but a goldie. Released in 2010, it is available only for the Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Windows. It is, in simple words, a highly story-driven mystery game which involves the protogonist, Alan Wake, searching for his disappeared wife.

When the wife of the best-selling writer Alan Wake disappears on their vacation, his search turns up pages from a thriller he doesn’t even remember writing. A Dark Presence stalks the small town of Bright Falls, pushing Wake to the brink of sanity in his fight to unravel the mystery and save his love.

All in all, the two games are free on the Epic store from August 2-9, After which they’ll be replaced by GNOG, a 3D puzzle game. Sadly there are no two freebies next week.
